About

Michelle Kenyon

I’m Michelle, an integrative psychotherapist with 20 years’ experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. My journey has taken me through the NHS, private practice, and specialist trauma training, alongside a love of yoga and mindfulness-based approaches — all of which has shaped the way I work today.

I’m accredited in both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and I weave these with approaches that support not just the mind, but also the body and nervous system. My interest in yoga, mindfulness, and iRest Yoga Nidra has deepened my belief that healing happens most fully when we attend to the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.

I’m influenced by Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Compassion-Focused Therapy. These approaches help me create a safe, attuned space where clients can gently explore what feels stuck, process painful experiences, and rediscover a sense of calm and connection.

Alongside therapy, I offer clinical supervision for CBT and EMDR (non-accredited) therapists supporting other practitioners in their professional development.

I am accredited by both the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists) and the EMDR Association UK and am an EMDR Europe Consultant in Training.

When I’m not working, I find joy in music, reading, yoga, walking in nature, and creative practices that help me stay grounded and connected. These are the same qualities I bring into my therapy room — presence, curiosity, and compassion.
