What happens in the first session? The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’d like to focus on, discuss how therapy works, and decide together whether it feels like a good fit for your needs.
How long are sessions and how often do they take place? Sessions are available for 60 or 90 minutes, depending on what feels most helpful for you. Most people meet weekly or fortnightly, but the frequency can be flexible to suit your goals, schedule, and energy levels.
Do you offer online and in-person sessions? Yes. I offer in-person sessions in Preston, Lancashire, and online sessions across the UK. You can choose whichever format feels most comfortable and accessible for you, or we can combine both over time.
How much does therapy cost? Sessions are £80 for 60 minutes and £120 for 90 minutes.
What kind of issues can therapy help with? People come to therapy for many reasons — such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-criticism, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. Therapy can support healing, personal growth, and a deeper connection to yourself.
What approaches do you use? I work integratively, drawing from evidence-based approaches including CBT, CFT, EMDR, IFS, somatic therapy, and iRest. This means sessions are tailored to your individual needs, preferences, and goals.
Is therapy confidential? Yes. Everything you share is treated with respect and confidentiality. There are a few rare exceptions where I may have a legal or ethical duty to share information for safety reasons — we’ll discuss these clearly at the start of therapy.
How do I book or cancel a session? You can get in touch via email or the contact form on the website. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid the full fee being charged.
Do you work with children? My training and experience is in working with adults and those over 16.
