Gentle, trauma-informed support for mind, body, and self
I offer a range of trauma-informed therapies designed to meet you where you are. Whether you’re looking for EMDR, CBT, or a more body-based approach, sessions are always guided by compassion, safety, and your natural pace.
Therapy can be offered in person in Lancashire or online across the UK.
✨ EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) Trauma can leave us feeling stuck — like the past keeps replaying in the present. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that uses bilateral stimulation like eye movements or tapping, to help the brain process and release the memories of distressing experiences, so they no longer feel overwhelming or triggering. Together we work slowly and safely, with grounding always at the centre.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) CFT combines psychological theory with practices that strengthen self-compassion and emotional balance. It helps you to understand how the mind responds to threat, shame, and self-criticism, and supports the development of a kinder, more supportive inner voice to promote wellbeing and resilience.
Somatic Approaches Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between mind and body, helping you become more aware of physical sensations, tension, and patterns held within the body. By gently working with breath, movement, and awareness, somatic approaches support regulation of the nervous system, release of stored stress, and a greater sense of safety and presence.
✨ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Sometimes our thoughts and behaviours keep us caught in cycles of worry, anxiety, or low mood. CBT helps us gently notice these patterns and create practical tools to shift them, learning to manage distress, improve mood and support meaningful change in life.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) IFS is a gentle, evidence-informed approach that views the mind as made up of different 'parts', each carrying it's own feelings needs and roles. It supports you in connecting with your core Self and fostering understnading, compassion, and healing among your inner parts, especially those carrying pain or protective roles.
iRest (Integrative Restoration) iRest is a gentle guided meditation practice based on Yoga Nidra and adapted for therapeutic use. It supports deep relaxation, self-awareness, and emotional integration by helping you connect with inner sensations and states of calm. iRest can be especially helpful for reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and fostering a grounded sense of wellbeing.
